The is a purpose-built GT race car developed by Renault Sport to compete in its own one-make series, the Renault Sport Trophy. Unveiled in 2014, it sits between GT3 and DTM in terms of performance, featuring a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and extreme aerodynamics that generate up to 1,200 kg of downforce at 300 km/h. While originally designed for a dedicated trophy series, the R.S. 01 has appeared in various endurance and prototype categories.

Following the Trophy series, versions were adapted for GT3-level competition and entered into events like the 24H GT Series and GT & Prototype Challenge .

The car's performance is driven by a mid-mounted engine and a lightweight Dallara chassis.
